The Social Media Manager will support and execute social media strategies by creating, curating, scheduling, posting, and moderating digital content that draws people into a closer relationship with God. This role encompasses three key responsibilities: community builder, content creator, and researcher. Essential Functions: Promote scalable growth of Our Daily Bread Ministries social media brands on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc. Track audience feedback, communicate with teams, users, and influencers, and pitch ideas for engaging new audiences with the life-changing wisdom of the Bible. Create, build, curate, schedule, and moderate content posted to a variety of existing and future social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.) and Our Daily Bread Ministry brands. Partner with internal and external teams to build graphics and short videos influenced by Our Daily Bread Ministry’s library of devotionals, books, videos, podcasts, blogs, courses, etc. Track monthly audience engagement and create comprehensible, visual reports that showcase recent social media successes and opportunities to help the team continually seek new methods of engaging our audiences with the life-changing wisdom of the Bible. Research and share findings regarding new social media features, best practices, and trends. Serve as backup for the Director of Media Marketing & U.S. Social Media Content Strategy, as needed. Study or Knowledge or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or equivalent experience in social media, communication, design, media, marketing, or other related fields. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Experience with Hootsuite, Later, Canva, Asana, and Slack, is a plus. Experience with Meta Business Suite. Enjoys using social media to tell stories, discovering fresh ways of curating Bible-centered content to engage a diverse, multi-generational audience. High capacity for learning, commitment to details and organization, and a positive attitude. Knowledge of design and video editing is necessary for success. Thoughtful communicator, who is energized by connecting with people in-person and on online platforms. Adaptable, collaborative, receptive to feedback, and a team player. Strive to live a life consistent with biblical principles, engaged with the Bible on a consistent basis and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development. Internal Work Environment: Involves complex communication with individuals and groups throughout the organization. External Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, including discretion and tact, to discuss and gather information from individuals and groups outside of Our Daily Bread Ministries to develop and implement content marketing for individuals/groups throughout the organization. Leadership Responsibility: Manages and leads projects with multiple teams and functions. Makes vital decisions that will affect the impact of the ministry’s efforts and the results of specific marketing campaigns. Oversee Communications Specialists responsible for communicating with Our Daily Bread Ministries users across all digital platforms. Assists in troubleshooting audience issues on digital platforms. Stewardship of Resources: Responsible at the direction of the Director of Media Marketing and U.S. Social Media Content Strategy for managing efforts within the social media and media marketing budgets. Our Daily Bread Ministries is a nondenominational nonprofit with staff and volunteers across the globe and resources distributed in 150 countries and in more than 50 languages.
