Position Overview
Advance Local is on the lookout for a Visual Media Producer to create compelling photo-centric content across various platforms. This role is ideal for individuals with a journalism background, a deep passion for photography, and innovative video production skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce and edit photo galleries and videos from diverse assignments, including news, features, and sports.
- Create engaging social media videos, including live broadcasts and longer-form content.
- Develop and propose ideas for long-term photo-driven projects.
- Mentor and guide multimedia interns to reach their full potential.
- Cultivate audience engagement and subscriber growth for your content.
- Write and report stories that complement visual assignments.

Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of experience in photography and videography, with a strong ability in reporting and writing.
- A degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- A genuine passion for photojournalism.
- Strong writing skills with sound news judgment.
- Proven experience in video recording and editing.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable collaborating with reporters, sports journalists, and other media professionals.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain production schedules.
- Capable of working independently on projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Photo Mechanic.
- Skilled in sourcing and contacting interview subjects, with a willingness to travel as needed.
- Recognized as an in-house expert for brainstorming story ideas related to photo and video.
- Knowledge of the local media landscape and online news.
- A licensed drone pilot or willingness to obtain certification.
