Job Summary

Position responsible for receiving and dispatching all requests for assistance or service provided by area of assignment.Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or GED

Licenses/Certifications: For security dispatchers' ability to be registered with the Texas Private Security Board within 14 days of hire date

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • One (1) year experience as a dispatcher/scheduler
  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow oral and written instructions
  • Basic computer skills required
Principal Accountabilities
  • Disseminates information received via telephone, radio, from persons, alarms or as observed on CCTV.
  • Prioritizes and assigns calls according to the urgency of the call and the expertise of the personnel available.
  • Maintains computerized logs and records, produces spreadsheets and reports as necessary.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
