Description
Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator - CONTRACTOR to join our dynamic and cohesive team of HR professionals Kirkland, WA.
JOB SUMMARY
The HR Coordinator assists with daily operations of the HR department, which includes being the first point of contact for employees. This role oversees and executes various HR systems, programs and procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides administrative support to the human resources function in the areas of HRIS/compensation/benefits, staffing/employment, employee relations, and/or organizational development (OD) and training. Maintains employee files and data records.
- Inputs employee personal data into human resources information/computer system (HRIS) database.
- Processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc.
- Conducts new-hire orientations and may conduct exit interviews.
- May prepare special reports, such as insurance, COBRA, OSHA, affirmative action and headcount using HRIS.
- Provides information to employees on matters pertaining to their personal employee information.
- At higher job levels, may perform duties otherwise performed by entry-level human resources generalist, such as conducting candidate interviews and performing data gathering and analysis as it relates to compensation and/or benefits activities.

Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2-4 years direct experience related to the duties & responsibilities of this job.
Demonstrates competent knowledge of:
- Personnel and Human Resources - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Base salary range is $22.50 ~ $33.75 per hour. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
