Job Summary: Provides Post-Award guidance in the administration and processing of external and internal sponsored projects. Provides support to researchers, departmental and center/institute administrators regarding the reasonableness, allowability and allocability of grant related expenses, budget changes/revisions, and other compliance activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review terms and conditions of new awards and set up projects in the grant tracking and financial system appropriately. Monitor post-award activities to ensure compliance with allowable costs, re-budgeting and reporting requirements. Facilitate, review, and approve budget revisions and cost transfer requests in compliance with sponsoring agencies’ regulations. Process and submit prior approval requests to the sponsor. Serve as primary resource for post-award grant questions. Review and negotiate continuing projects and amendments to existing grants and contracts. Work with the PI and administrators to close out projects according to sponsor guidelines. Create and execute subaward agreements for all new and existing awards. Assist management in the preparation of ad-hoc reports. Monitor compliance with sponsored project related time and effort commitments. Participate in special projects such as development and presentation of training workshops. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, social sciences, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in the preparation and processing of research grant and/or contract proposals. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Adept at navigating complex environments. Ability to prepare detailed documents and reports. Ability to work both independently and within a team. Ability to review contracts and legal documents.
