Manages the staffing of events as needed.

•Knowledge of events management including associated marketing, catering and financial management skills;

•Proven interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner;

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

•Proficient computer skills with knowledge of software applications applicable to the responsibilities of the position including web design and maintenance, word processing, database management and presentation programs such as PowerPoint.

•Excellent organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple demands and/or projects simultaneously.

•Ability to manage large budgets.

•High degree of professionalism and the ability to work independently yet maintain a close professional working relationship with colleagues.

•Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

•Individual must be able to maintain confidentiality, handle pressure, be flexible and manage multiple tasks.

•Ability to work with diverse constituencies.

•Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' experience in program development or management, event coordination, or program implementation.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

•Recent experience in events management within the environment of higher education.
