The Impact You Will Make Responsible for oversight, analysis, and maintenance of trust activities including legal/regulatory compliance, preparation of reports, facilitation of both internal and external audits, analysis of data trends and exceptions, and proactive development of strategies to identify and resolve issues as they arise. Responsibilities: Research and interpret state statute. Plan for all Annual Reports filing deadlines and audits. Research all issues related to report filing and state requirements. Prepare and submit Annual Reports in compliance with State and Federal Statutes. Analyze all system reports related to filing and trusting and sales documentation. Evaluate remittance and deposits. Minimize any potential issues by alerting Trust Manager to short falls or bottlenecks. Assist Trust Manager with Special Projects and Various duties. Collaborate with CPA, Location Administrators, Trust Administrators, and other parties. File establishment license renewals for cemetery and funeral locations. File initial acquisition licensure and facilitate communication with State Agencies to ensure proper licensure. Requirements: BS Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related area. 2-4 years of experience in trust accounting. Ability to think strategically and resolve legal/regulatory compliance issues. Ability to read bank statements and understand financial activity. Ability to interpret legal statutes and filing documentation and their application to transactions. Exhibits strong analytical skills and attention to detail ensuring analysis is complete and accurate. Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to firm deadlines. Communicates in a clear and concise manner. Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to create and organize filing systems to track procedures and tasks.
