Administrative Assistant/HR Specialist
- The functions of the position primarily relate to such matters as initiating/reviewing official personnel records, processing/reviewing a variety of personnel actions, strength accounting, accessions, personnel operations, personnel requisition, preparing military correspondence, personnel evaluations, maintaining correspondence files, records disposition, travel authorization, mail distribution, reporting requirements, word processing support, assisting in updating of human resource/personnel database systems, and suspense controls.
- Primary point of contact responsible for managing the administrative support of permanent party soldiers assigned to Alpha Company, U.S. Army Medical Command. Provides direct support to the G-1 Office. This includes military personnel actions, military finance actions, military awards, military evaluations, sponsorship, strength reporting, and leaves. Acts as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for assigned areas of responsibility serving as the advisor to the Commander and providing advice and information to the MEDCOM leadership/supervisors and MEDCOM personnel on military personnel management policies and procedures. Interprets and implements Department of the Army (DA) and- Department of Defense (DOD) policies and regulations pertaining to military personnel management.
- Reviews, analyzes, and interprets Department of the Army (DA) and Department of Defense (DOD) publications, MILPER messages, regulations, directives, and other material relating to all facets of military personnel management to determine applicability and impact on personnel services MEDCOM wide.
- Manages the Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP) thru the Army career tracker system (ACTS) for Alpha Company MEDCOM and provides regular (ACTS) reports to the commander. Serves as the system administrator for the (ACTS) web application for Alpha Company, MEDCOM.
This is a full-time position paying $50,000 to $55,000 awith full benefits, and has possible bonus potential based on merit and performance. To be considered for this position, please apply online with a resume.
