Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience as a site reliability engineer, DevOps, and/or SRE engineer
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting GCP Cloud infrastructures
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform or similar)
  • Experience working with cloud environments like GCP, AWS - Professional Certificate
  • Experience with Python with shell scripting
  • Experience with developer tools, productivity, or operations automation (Terraform or similar)
  • Experience with orchestrating big containerized deployments (Kubernetes - GKE/EKS or similar)
  • Experience with setting up logging and monitoring pipelines (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Knowledge of different deployment strategies
  • Experience with high-performance and high-available distributed NoSQL and SQL databases, analytics engines, message brokers, and queueing systems
  • Experience in designing , building and maintaining Machine Learning Inference or/and training infrastructure is considered a plus
Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the engineering team to ensure the delivery, scalability, and reliability of the Avenu services
  • Measure and monitor availability, latency, and overall service health
  • Create and support CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform DR test and suggest team for required changes to existing infrastructure.
  • Organize multistage futures deployment environments from Branch based deployment strategy
  • Drive incident management and post-mortem analysis
Requirements

Requirements:
  • Hybrid/remote position with ability to work at our Sterling office.
  • Expertise with GCP.
  • Experience working with GitHub, Git-based tools, CI/CD tools similar to Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform, Cloudformation and other modern tools.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and containerization, GKE or equivalent tools.
  • Expertise with Go, Groovy, Bash, or other similar language
  • Experience with distributed applications and cloud-based services.
  • In-depth architectural understanding of Google Cloud Platform or similar and are familiar with cloud native design patterns and DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Developing software using languages such as Java, Python, Go or other modern languages
  • Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC
  • Knowledge of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc.
  • Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience with Apache Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
  • Experience with debugging existing software and correcting defects
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile software development environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Dedicated to champion customer problem until resolution
