Job Overview

Position: Reliability Assurance Engineer

Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Reliability and Maintainability engineering expertise to Engineering, Development & Technology.
  • Utilize reliability engineering analytical tools, methodologies, and processes employed by ED&T, including system-level R&M requirements and allocations, reliability block diagrams (RBD), failure modes effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), and field failure analysis to assist in the development of new vehicles and modifications to existing designs.
  • Evaluate and suggest enhancements for the quality of reliability engineering analyses.
  • Collaborate proactively with design engineering to ensure R&M concerns are identified and resolved during the design phase.
  • Assist design engineering in the formulation of qualification testing.
  • Participate in specialized projects that necessitate R&M Subject Matter Expert support.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • One to Three Years of Engineering Experience.
  • Familiarity and experience with reliability analysis techniques (e.g., FMEA/FMECA, RBD, FTA, MIL-HDBK-217 Predictions).
  • Knowledge and/or experience in applying relevant military standards, military equipment usage, and doctrine.
  • Prior Military Experience.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Reliability techniques and software tools (SLICWave, Reliasoft Blocksim/Lambda Predict, MADe, RELEX, etc.).
  • Advanced Degree in a relevant field.
