will be responsible for driving and promoting our vision of “Everyone goes home safe every day” through employee engagement in the plant as well as planning and implementing safety and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules and regulations. and will be fully on-site. Safety, Health and Environmental Manager

Responsibilities: Drives and promotes Wieland Safety Culture and employee engagement through the plant. Develops and leads plant safety committee to drive safety culture, accountability and improvements. Develops and implements Emergency Response Team, including first responder team. Monitors legislative requirements and supports the implementation of safety, health, and environment (SHE) procedures in compliance with local legislation and Wieland's Safety Strategy. Reports plant safety and health performance and data to plant leadership team and business unit Safety, Health, and Environmental Director. Supports and advises the plant leadership team within target setting and development of the safety plan. Leads environmental compliance for the site and works with external resources to address potential risks and hazards as needed. Develops and oversees appropriate training to colleagues onsite to ensure that they possess the necessary knowledge, skills and awareness. Develops, reviews and revises company standards, policies, and practices. Ensures audits are completed on a regular basis to detect existing or potential risks and hazards.

Ensures the recommended corrective or preventive measures are completed to mitigate risk. Provides expertise during execution of JHA’s, detailing work instructions. Investigates safety incidents and close call reporting to identify the underlying root cause, support the implementation of corrective actions, and communicate key

learnings/outcomes. Ensures contractors and subcontractors have implemented an effective safety process by conducting pre-qualifications and by auditing work in progress on a regular basis. Identify and spread best practices within the plant and across the business unit. Reviews and evaluates technical developments to measure applicability to company processes. Right to stop any activity that could lead to serious incidents. Implements programs and training in support of Wieland global safety strategy. Escalation to business unit Safety, Health and Environmental Director when there is a conflict of interest. Safety, Health and Environmental Manager Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, IH, Engineering, or other related science field is required. Minimum of 5 years' EHS experience in an industrial environment or heavy manufacturing is required. CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification is preferred. Knowledge and experience of ISO45001 is preferred. Proven experience in promoting a culture of safety and driving employee engagement. Strong knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment. Exceptional communication skills within all levels of the organization. Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability. Strong project management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
