Business Development Manager

PYA is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its high-performing accounting and advisory services firm with a dynamic culture and strong national reputation. The Business Development Manager will contribute to the growth and development of PYA's professional services including audit and assurance, tax, accounting, and management consulting, including litigation support.These services are routinely provided to clients operating in a variety of industries including healthcare, banking, real estate, and other for-profit and non-profit organizations. The ideal candidate will initially focus on business development efforts in the PYA office location in which the candidate resides; however, this professional will also have the opportunity to become a key contributor to growing relationships with prospective and current clients throughout the nation.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Chief Development Officer, the ideal candidate will work with PYA executives and the Business Development team to drive awareness and build relationships in designated markets and pursue potential business leadsCollaborating with PYA professionals and practice groups to develop a customized and measurable approach to growing and retaining clientsAssisting PYA service line leaders with the execution of their business development plansConnecting firm prospects/clients with PYA professionals to enhance total organizational valueIdentifying and researching prospective clients and new business opportunities from existing clients or new contactsSeeking and establishing partnerships with other professionals such as attorneys, commercial bankers, investment bankers, and various investor groupsConsistently seeking new knowledge about the firm and effectively implementing such knowledge in one's daily functionPartnering with PYA management/staff in proposal development and guiding the sales process to enhance the success ratio for each identified opportunityEvaluating cross-marketing opportunities of existing PYA (+ Affiliates') clientsQualifications3 years of business and/or relationship development experience requiredExperience working for a professional services firm is preferredHealthcare, banking, or real estate industries experience is a plus, including payroll servicesProficiency in lead generation via social media, referrals and networking, proposal development, and other proven lead generation methodsPersonal network across the Tampa, Charlotte or Atlanta community is preferredExecutive presence with an ability to interact with senior leadershipOutstanding written and oral communication skillsExceptional client service attitude and demeanorCreative problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindsetSome travel is required, including event attendance and active participation in industry associations or other organizations relevant to PYA's target audienceAbout PYAServing clients in all 50 states from offices in seven cities, PYA is ranked by INSIDE Public Accounting as one of the nation's Top 100 largest CPA firms, with the third-highest percentage of female ownership within that group.
