**JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:**

The purpose of this position is to direct the actions, counsel, coach, and supervise the employees charged with maximizing rental and sales revenue generated through rental representatives and strategic account rental representatives, which report to rental sales managers and the rental strategic account manager respectively. Obtain 100% of business plan net revenue goals based on rental revenue and sales revenue budgets.

Work to obtain overall financial utilization with strategic accounts with the following goals:

CAT Equipment = 30%. Allied Equipment = 50%. Assist with marketing efforts by attending marketing meetings and helping to implement marketing initiatives.

Be sure all policies, procedures, and processes are being followed as they relate to the CRM (Sales Link)

Oversee the negotiation of major rental sales opportunities through interactions with rental sales managers.

Schedule monthly updates with rental sales managers for updates.

Schedule monthly updates with the general rental manager to provide updates, receive coaching, counseling, etc.

Oversee all operational functions of our Pump & Shoring Group, as well as assist in their planning and forecasting.

Follow up with rental sales managers on extremely delinquent accounts receivable issues as needed. Work with Rental Asset Manager on fleet (spec) needs and growth opportunities Develop plans with rental sales managers/strategic account manager for improvements with rental sales reps and SARRs. 100% of management requests, special assignments, or projects to be completed within the specified time. Consistent communication with the rental sales team, and all other departments within Ohio Cat on progress, issues, needs, etc. Attend a Quarterly KPI Rental meeting. Develop customer incentive programs to increase rental market share with a rental strategic account manager. Work with Rental Sales Managers & Strategic Account Manager to assist in scorecards goals. Work with General Rental Manager and Rental Asset Manager on forecasting and planning. Work and develop relationships with all Allied Vendors Monitor monthly expense run for questionable items. Gather all information needed for KPI: Inventory totals (Year-to-Year Comparison by month).

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS:** College degree, formal college training. Significant sales and management experience in the rental industry or equivalent experience in a closely related industry. Some closely related industries would include construction, engineering, and equipment distribution.

Knowledge and understanding of the training and support capabilities within the Caterpillar organization. Knowledge and understanding of the start-up procedures necessary for a rental store, as well as, working knowledge of the operations, sales, service, and systems. Ability to perform and explain every job in the rental store. Ability to organize and deliver basic rental training on products, operations, sales, service, and systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DBS, and I rental. Mechanical aptitude would be very beneficial. Retail sales experience, customer relations would be beneficial.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
