Our Management Accountant role is a key function within our Finance Department, responsible for providing high level support to the Financial Controller (FC) and Finance Director (FD). CareCo has experienced substantial growth in recent years, and as such this role is pivotal to ensuring the Finance Department is aligned with the continued challenges faced with such growth. Due to this, we are keen to find a Management Accountant with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes within a similar sized business. This is a full-time permanent position, covering 37.5 hours over a Monday to Friday week, based out of CareCo’s Braintree site. What are my responsibilities? Working closely with the FC to drive continuous improvement in the department, increasing efficiencies of existing processes. Working with other Management Accountants in the preparation of CareCo and Motion Healthcare MI, overseeing tasks completed by other team members as part of that process. Ensuring monthly MI is completed in a timely manner in line with the month end timetable. Preparing detailed variance analysis and commentary for inclusion in the month end pack. Ensuring all Balance Sheet reconciliations and controls are completed in a timely manner each month, in addition to ensuring any historical items are investigated and resolved. Review and preparation of VAT returns for CareCo and other associated companies. Overseeing and review of Bank Reconciliations for all GBP and USD accounts. Assisting the FC in management of the Trade Finance process, ensuring loans are raised in a timely manner, all relevant schedules are updated weekly, and FX has been managed to ensure funds are in place prior to loan repayments. Working closely with the FC on preparing the Group’s financial plan and quarterly reforecasts. Supporting the FD and FC in managing the Group’s year end audit and being a key point of contact for auditors. What qualifications & skills are required of me? Fully qualified Chartered Accountant. Demonstrable experience in current role of Management Accountant or similar for the previous 3 years minimum. Strong and experienced level of analytical skills in a commercial environment. Advanced Excel skills, and a passion for manipulating data for all manner of reporting and analysis are essential. Personable and able to communicate at all levels within the business. Strong work ethic and a desire to challenge and be challenged. What would working for CareCo offer me?
