Role Overview

The position of Management Accountant is integral to our Finance Department, tasked with delivering high-level assistance to the Financial Controller (FC) and Finance Director (FD). This role is crucial in aligning the Finance Department with the ongoing challenges stemming from our significant growth in recent years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the FC to foster continuous improvement within the department, enhancing the efficiency of existing processes.
  • Work alongside fellow Management Accountants to prepare Management Information (MI) for CareCo and Motion Healthcare, overseeing the contributions of team members.
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly MI in accordance with the month-end schedule.
  • Prepare comprehensive variance analysis and commentary for inclusion in the month-end reporting package.
  • Guarantee that all Balance Sheet reconciliations and controls are finalized promptly each month, addressing any historical discrepancies.
  • Review and prepare VAT returns for CareCo and its associated entities.
  • Oversee and review Bank Reconciliations for all GBP and USD accounts.
  • Assist the FC in managing the Trade Finance process, ensuring timely loan arrangements and weekly updates of relevant schedules, while effectively managing foreign exchange to secure funds for loan repayments.
  • Collaborate with the FC on the preparation of the Group's financial plan and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Support the FD and FC in the management of the Group's year-end audit, serving as a primary contact for auditors.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Minimum of three years of demonstrable experience in a Management Accountant role or similar capacity.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in a commercial setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with a passion for data manipulation for reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to both challenge and be challenged.
