We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Accounts Receivable that will have comprehensive ownership of payment applications and participate in month-end activities.

This role is based in Omaha and will report to the Senior Manager, Billing & Collections in Omaha, NE.

What you will do:

Applies customer payments to invoices on a daily basis. Research payments issues and resolve them in a timely manner. Contacts customers with unapplied payments on their account via email and phone. Processes customer credit cards on an adhoc basis and ensures payments get applied. Manages the Stripe to NS integration, settlement, and resolves credit card issues. Collaborates with the Commercial and Engineering teams to ensure proper handling of customer information is maintained (PCI Compliance). Participates in month-end activities including account reconciliation, variance analysis, reporting, and creation of various journal entries. Provides analysis of payment processing fees and provides suggestions to lower fees for Sojern and their customers. Manages various payment processing applications to include GoCardless, PayPal, Fast Pay, and Stripe. Records recovery of bad debt. Identifies and leads projects and process improvement initiatives. Identifies automation opportunities and contributes to the implementation. Becomes a subject-matter expert on all technologies and systems impacting the billing and collections process. Completes documentation requested by the customers, to include vendor set up and DGT forms. Develop and maintain detailed SOPs.

What you bring to the table:

Bachelor’s degree, with a major in accounting, finance, or relevant field. 5 + years previous cash application experience. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. Experience investigating international payments. Experience working with foreign currencies and exchange rates. Understanding of billing and revenue processes and experience using general ledger software. Self-motivated with a high level of accountability, willingness to learn new technologies, and able to work independently, and cross-functionally Demonstrates skills in troubleshooting payment problems. The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and to constantly re-prioritize. Ability to take charge and be persuasive in the interaction with both internal and external customers Meticulous attention to details in a complex process. An outstanding focus on achieving a high level of customer service. Critical thinking, with a strategic approach to problem solving. Effectively enforces policies. Outstanding MS Excel skills.
