Job Description: As an FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the company’s financial planning and strategy. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage prior experience to increase the analytical capabilities of the company. Responsibilities: Perform planning and forecasting activities for various business units and lines. Analyze financial results and investigate significant fluctuations or unusual trends. Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of reporting. Compile metrics and analysis on various portions of the P&L including Premium, Reinsurance, Losses, Commissions, and Expenses. Provide business leaders with relevant, timely, and impactful financial and metric data to inform business decisions. Maintain and improve data element mappings and modeling calculations. Develop transaction-specific, market-related, and strategic presentation materials for management and the Board of Directors. Assist in the monthly and quarterly management reporting process. Prepare data and analysis for ad-hoc requests and special projects. Qualifications: BS/BA degree in accounting or finance with at least one year of accounting/analysis experience, preferably within or supporting the property and casualty insurance/reinsurance industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral. Strong technical and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work with large amounts of data. Demonstrated experience of good planning and organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task. Ability to work well with senior levels of management. Ability to work effectively as part of the wider finance team. Ability to independently work through and resolve issues as they arise. Experience working in a deadline-driven environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products. This role must sit in our Morristown, NJ office on a hybrid work schedule.
