Role Overview:
The Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the investment team through research, monitoring, trading, and the execution of investment strategies. This position encompasses a blend of macroeconomic analysis, market research, and manager evaluations, serving as a generalist investment analyst while also providing trade support and facilitating investment implementation for our private funds.

The ideal candidate will excel in managing multiple projects and deadlines while demonstrating a keen interest in market dynamics and investment principles. Over time, this individual will progress to a senior investment analyst role, contributing significantly to the team's investment strategies and manager research.


Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of active investments across various asset classes and strategies, acting as the firm's liaison with investment managers.
- Serve as the primary backup to the Head of Trading for daily trading operations.
- Conduct thorough market and manager due diligence for potential investments or terminations under the guidance of senior analysts.
- Participate in meetings with investment managers and compile detailed notes.
- Prepare materials and engage in Investment Team, Committee, and Strategy meetings.
- Draft memos and presentations to support the firm's investment initiatives and client advisory relationships.
- Provide operational support for private funds, including managing capital flows and handling investment subscriptions/redemptions as required.


Additional Duties:
- Perform data entry, management, and reporting for investment indices and manager performance on a daily and bi-weekly basis.
- Maintain accurate records of approved manager exposure and attribution data, conducting actionable analyses.
- Actively monitor and assess performance drivers, risks, and relevant news concerning covered managers and strategies.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the investment processes, operations, and structures of investment managers.
- Utilize proprietary research tools to conduct ongoing qualitative and quantitative due diligence on diverse investment strategies.
- Cultivate relationships with industry contacts to enhance due diligence on both existing and prospective investment opportunities.
- Source and evaluate potential new investment avenues.
- Regularly collaborate with the client service team to provide updates on portfolio investments ahead of client/prospect meetings.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 1-2 years of experience in finance or investment analysis.
- Strong enthusiasm for financial markets, economics, and the investment sector.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive and process-oriented with exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with Bloomberg, Orion/Eclipse, Pitchbook, and YCharts.
