You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of merchandising and inventory management, building strong relationships with top-tier suppliers, and ensuring the products meet the highest standards of quality and style. Director of Purchasing Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of fine jewelry buying experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • High school diploma required; bachelor s degree preferred
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Experience leading a team and negotiating with vendors
Director of Purchasing Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of 5, including processors, quality control, senior buyer, and assistant buyer
  • Oversee all aspects of merchandising, data entry, and product processing
  • Monitor stock levels, handle ordering, and ensure timely arrival of merchandise
  • Maintain and enhance store displays, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines
  • Ensure accurate pricing and tagging of merchandise, assist with inventory counts
  • Prepare and review inventory reports, support buying decisions, and liaise with vendors
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and sales staff, manage special orders and queries
  • Track and restock fast-selling products, monitor stock movement for accuracy
  • Support the sales floor as needed, dealing with customers and managing displays
