Audubon Care Homes is hiring a House Manager for their Phosphor House location. This is a 10 resident senior care home located in Metairie. If you are looking to move up in your career, this is an excellent opportunity.

Schedule: This position will usually work the day-shift M-F from 7am to 3pm, but on-call is required. You may need to cover the occasional shift. Overtime pay allowed occasionally as needed.


Pay: $20/hr plus $100 monthly retirement account contribution, $200 monthly grocery allowance for personal use, and regular bonuses.


Main Responsibilities: You are in charge of making sure the house runs smoothly. This included placing the weekly grocery order, placing weekly Amazon order for supplies when needed, supervising staff to make sure tasks are done properly, assisted staff when needed with their duties, and conducting monthly staff meetings. You will also be working directly with the owners.

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the day-to-day operations of the home. Such supervision must be in accordance with the current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our home, and as may be required by the Director to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.


Duties & Responsibilities

Recruit, orient, on-board, and train all staff.

Be responsible for ensuring that all shifts are covered and if needed will be expected to work any open shifts.

Purchasing, and monitoring use of all supplies for the home.

Supervise all Care Partners including scheduling of all staff shifts.

Conduct staff meetings.

Participate in weekly meetings with owners.

Ensure all staff are trained, aware of, and comply with policies and procedures.

Ensures food items on approved menus are purchased.

Ensures staff’s compliance with meals. Monitors food substitutions for accuracy and accountability.

Completes purchase orders and submit with receipts for every purchase made.

Inspects house for cleanliness and repairs.

Submits maintenance tickets as needed for repairs in the home.

Monitoring the health and well-being of the residents and reports on suspected problems to the assigned nurse.

Review time clock activity for accuracy and attendance for all staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Supervising and authorizing hours.

Complete incident reports and ensure staff are completing Incident Reports per policy, ensure all Incident Reports are submitted to owners in a timely manner.

Planning, organizing, and assuring that recreation activities are completed.

Conducts fire safety drills as required.

Understands and adheres to all policies and procedures.

Reports instances of abuse in accordance with specified guidelines in the abuse policy.

Attends scheduled training and in-service sessions and demonstrates learned competencies.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications 

Education 

High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or higher in education, training and development, or other related field preferred.

Valid CNA or LPN License in Louisiana is required.


Experience 

Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: Nursing or Senior Care

Prior training experience in a healthcare environment required.

Must have previous experience hiring and managing employees.

Current CPR and First Aid certification.


Knowledge 

Principles and procedures for delivering effective training.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience working with online learning applications.

Media creation, communication, and distribution techniques and methods.
