Maintain accurate, timely and meaningful production of a variety of financial reports. Essential Functions Record transactions accurately enabling further analytical review by management and other departments decision making processes. Monitor and maintain the bank's and customer’s accounts to ensure accurate and timely posting to capitalize on expected cashflows and maintain good relationships with the bank’s customers. Accurately balance general ledger accounts on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to provide management with reports of the financial position of the bank and/or customers. Work independently with minimum supervision, based on experience and knowledge of accounting guidelines. Understand accounting rules and regulations and maintain compliance with both. Responsibilities Maintain the integrity of the Bank’s general ledger. Prepare the accounting and reporting processes for the bank’s customers' repurchase agreements. Prepare reconcilements of various general ledger accounts. Prepare reconcilements of correspondent bank accounts. Settle daily cash position for the Bank. Prepare weekly/quarterly regulatory reports. Provide accounting support for the Investment Security portfolio. Prepare the Month-End Detail Loan & Deposit interest adjustments. Accurately maintain the Prepaid General Ledger accounts and maintain the recurring journal entries associated with this function. Maintain the QwickRate CD system and all correspondence between the bank/deposit operations and the customer. Maintain the annual Escheatment process. Maintain the Stale dated official checks letter/documentation to customers. Respond to periodic surveys requested by regulatory authorities. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field. One or more years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Math and computer skills equivalent for the job. Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills. Ability to pass a background check. Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency. Ability to work extended hours Jan-March. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
