Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Section Manager to lead our Geotechnical Engineering Section. As a key member of our team, you will provide managerial and technical direction to our Geotechnical Engineering Section, including Grading and Base, Foundations, Aggregate and Geology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Enhance trust through transparency and accountability, lead and manage a variety of functions, such as research, program delivery and maintenance, and lead change and maintain a strong team environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with geology, hydrology, soils engineering, soil mechanics, methods of erosion control, and pavement design.
  • Policymaking: Develop and implement policies, rules, standards, and procedures.
  • Human Relations: Supervise staff and establish relationships with staff, stakeholders, and interest groups.
  • Fiscal Management: Develop and manage budgets including the allocation of resources.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
  • Five years of post-registration experience with three years at the Engineer Principal level.
