Vale Group has partnered with a company in the commercial construction industry, based in Thousand Oaks, CA, who is actively searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to work onsite for an opportunity paying up to 100k, based on experience. This full-time role involves working proactively and independently while taking initiative to progress in your career.

Requirements of the Senior Accounting Accountant:
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
•Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounting, specifically with monthly closing, reconciliations, and GL. Cost Accounting a plus
•Extensive knowledge of standard accounting procedures and company policies
•Proficiency in communication and organizational skills
•Experience with accounting software
•Prior construction experience a plus

Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Accountant:
•Independently perform accounting and related functions in monthly closing, reconciliation, and General Ledger/
•Establish and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions in accordance with corporate policies
•Coordinate with external auditors for annual and special audit functions
•Provide support to other departments and projects to assist with their administrative needs
•Report directly to and take general direction from the Controller

Skills and Knowledge:
•In-depth understanding of financial practices
•Expertise in financial reporting and analysis
•Familiarity with regulatory compliance
•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
