Credit and Collections Specialist Specialist Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7AM - 4PM
- Pay Rate: $50K-$60K annually based on experience
- Responsible for the collection of receivable dollars from existing customer base, resolution of customer billing issues, reduction of accounts receivable delinquencies, and all other aspects of credit and collections.
- Work to reduce account balances overdue
- Develop and administer credit and collection programs and budget plans
- Maintain accurate records and reporting on collection activity by logging status updates in the memo section per customer account
- Analyze and assess the credit-worthiness of new and existing accounts using external credit risk management tools/reports
- Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process customer payments and refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments
- Monthly delinquency notices and reminders submitted to customers
- Generate monthly accounting reports and submit to sales department - AR aging, MTD sales report, YTD sales report and open credit memo report
- Respond to credit inquiries from Sales and Logistics department
- Identify delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts, initiate next steps in collection process and report progress to management
- Manage and update Sales Tax Certificates per state requirements
- Oversee credit card process related to payments and expired card tracking
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- 3+ years of experience in A/R or Collections Specialist
