We offer a membership community for immigrant and first-generation professionals to access professional development resources, including expert-led workshops and panels, job boards, mentorships, and job prep. We focus on supporting early—to mid-career immigrant professionals in various industries, helping them overcome cultural barriers at work to advance and thrive in their professional careers. We educate and inform HR and Talent Policies so the corporate workplace can be inclusive for Immigrants. We advocate for public policy changes to ease work visa pathways for experienced professionals and international students.

Role Description

This is a volunteer Grants & Donor Specialist role at Immigrants in Corporate (IIC) in San Diego, CA, with 3-5 hours of weekly remote work. The Grants & Donor Specialist will identify, analyze, and advise on grant opportunities, support proposal writing, communicate with donors, and screen potential collaborators to support our programs and initiatives through our podcasts, newsletters, and member communication channels. This is a virtual role, and we prefer a San Diego-based volunteer to support local in-person community events.

Qualifications

  • Analytical Skills, Budgeting, and Research Abilities
  • Experience in Proposal Writing and Communication
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and grant-writing processes
  • Passion for Immigrant inclusion and DEI initiatives is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in nonprofit, grant writing, OR donor engagement is a plus.
