SUMMARY
Creates, Manages and Leads all Strategic Initiatives within the Procurement Department. Defines process flow and implementation of process improvement. Implements solution framework through project planning tools, internal coordination with other departments and execution. Communicates status of solution implementation, and challenges to management and supporting departments. Manages internal and external relationships and serves as an escalation point. Reviews continuous improvement opportunities. In addition, serves the business in various capacities: Leader; Change Agent; Strategic Consultant; Project Manager; Subject Matter Expert; Advocate for Process Improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies root causes and drives issue resolution under minimal supervision.
Owns, Manages and oversees Reserved Inventory focus, Vendor and SKU Rationalization, Vendor Returns, Liquidation as well as Master Data Management.
Owns, Manges and Implements improvements of D&H item setup and Etail/Retail Item setups to include working with Sales to coordinate efficient and effective Etail/Retail setup of productive products.
Focus on reduction of non-productive inventory to include Liquidation.
Drive accurate Category/Sub-Category and Product Code improvement.
Manage and oversee daily operational improvement.
Identifies root causes and drives issue resolution under minimal supervision.
Drive productivity – mentor and guide buyers, assistants and buying champs to higher level productivity.
Leads solution implementation with key department contacts.
Determines capability gaps and recommends/drives to completion resolution.
Ensures customer facing contacts understand solution framework process.
Works with both client and internal teams to identify continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities
Perform other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other in-house programs
5-10 years Management experience
