Description:

Aston Carter is partnering with a local non-profit to find a reliable staff accountant to assist their Senior Staff Accountant in providing for the day-to-day financial and record-keeping operations.

Job Duties:

Oversees various account reconciliations daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

Research transaction history to resolve any unreconciled items.

Process statements for A/R to send to customers.

Manages and reconciles all HOA accounts.

Collects accounts

Process reports from mortgage companies and record mortgage payments completed as a month closing entry

Reconciles the accounts receivable ledger to subsidiary accounts to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

Resolves outstanding AR and verify account discrepancies

Processes bi-monthly payroll through 3rd party vendor.

Checks account balances after processing payroll and corrects errors.

Create all payroll reports as needed to reconcile benefits payable

Makes journal and ledger entries in QuickBooks and Excel as directed.

Assists Senior Staff Accountant in A/P & A/R best practices and reconciling GL accounts.

Produces monthly, quarterly, annual, and special reports as directed.

Oversees inventory and document accordingly

Reconcile all outstanding loans and Lines of Credit (LOC).

Participates in weekly accounting staff meetings.

Processes A/P on time and verifies statement balances received from vendors.

Review weekly check run report and submit to senior staff accountant for approval.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in accounting from a four-year college or university; and two years of work-related experience preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Understanding of basic math and general accounting principles

Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks, Outlook, Excel, and Word
