Position Summary
The Supervisor of Research Integration and Education is responsible for overseeing the research education activities across the UH research community as well as system integration regarding research.
Essential Functions
  • Guiding Research Integration and Education Specialist performance, including training and daily oversight of routine activities to ensure core goals are met and work is consistent, efficient, and accurate.
  • Provide outreach efforts to spread research education across the UH System, supporting investigators in learning research requirements and processes. Oversight of Research Education programs, including development, organization and implementation.
  • Oversight of UH research SOPs, including management of the Policy Oversight Committee. In conjunction with leadership, develop and monitor policies, procedures, instructions, guidance, forms and templates for the research process.
  • Assist the research community in navigating the research process across the UH System, and help

    investigators and their teams access various services offered through the UH CRC and resolve issues, questions,

    or concerns.
  • Serve as key liaison between, and resource for, the CRC, Principal Investigators (PIs), departments, and individual study teams.
  • Responsible for liaising with UH sites beyond Main Campus, and integration of all research activities across all sites.

  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.


Qualifications:
Qualifications Education
  • Master's Degree or equivalent) in health sciences, bioethics or a related degree Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • 5+ years of experience related to research, and/or education experience Required
