Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to join our expanding team. Our organization is a global leading supplier of magnet wire, with 16 facilities worldwide and over 2,300 employees. We primarily support the automotive, energy, industrial, and commercial and residential industries. Given the growth of the EV (electric vehicle) market, we have recently expanded our Johnson County, Indiana facility by 60,000 square feet. As a Controls Engineer, you will provide technical factory support, be involved in the installation, integration, and commissioning of new automated equipment for our expansion sites. You will also be responsible for cross-functional work with other engineering departments, skilled trades, and project managers, and provide technical support for new industrial automated machinery.

Hard Skills

+ Hands-on troubleshooting of PLC applications (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron)

+ Utilizing AutoCAD Electrical for the design of panels and schematics

+ Programming and troubleshooting within Omron and Allen-Bradley PLCs

+ Experience working with Ignition (SCADA platform)

Soft Skills

+ Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments

+ Technical support provision

+ Interfacing with additional technical resources

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s) to direct hire.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Franklin, Indiana.

Work Environment

This role will be based in our Franklin, IN site with minimal travel required. The environments are climate-controlled and set within an Industrial Manufacturing context. This position is a 1st shift, Monday - Friday role with minimal overtime (45 hours a week). A consistent schedule of 8 AM - 4 PM is expected.
