PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A Catering Supervisor at Catholic Charities:
  • Works directly with Food Services and Kitchen supervisors in planning meal deliveries throughout each facility
  • Works within Health department guidelines to ensure food safety protocols are being carried out.
  • Maintains standards and quality control of meals provided to remote locations for Women's Emergency Services.
  • Responsible for communicating any vehicle issues with the Warehouse manager.
  • Ensures timely arrival and departure of food delivery to remote WES locations.
  • Reports to and works directly with Warehouse Manager to ensure catering procedures are being followed.
  • Responsible for scheduling the catering team members to all sites for every meal.
  • Responsible the posting and communication of the written schedules for each food service location a week ahead.
  • Directs volunteer management for the warehouse which includes:
    • Large groups
    • Sack lunches
    • Donation sorting
  • Travels, as necessary, to sites related to meal service distribution on a regular, weekly basis.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance with CACFP program and food safety standards are adhered to.
Qualifications
  • Experience in supervision and/or food distribution and catering.
  • Must possess strong communication skills
  • Must be organized and able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from accredited two-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $22-24/hr. DOE
