**Responsibilities:**

* Assist Chef Palmer & the Chief Culinary Officer to maintain kitchen organization and creative menu development

* Ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking

* Provide guidance to the kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating

* Ordering supplies to stock inventory appropriately

* Train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards

* Manage food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and manage budgetary concerns

* Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards

* Manage food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Minimum 5 years experience in a qualified kitchen

* A passion for hospitality, food and beverage, and the guest experience

* Ability to read and follow recipes and standards

* Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills

* The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere

* Creative & team oriented

* Must have excellent computer skills, food cost management, catering experience

* Fine Dining a plus
