This position will provide analytical and specialized data administrative support of a technical nature to assist with complex detail and advanced compiling and reporting duties.
The ideal candidate for this full-time position will have a positive attitude and previous experience in consumer lending for a financial industry. Real Estate knowledge is also desired.
Responsibilities of the position:
- Prepare or coordinate the preparation of special reports, proposals and/or projects as needed.
- Support the training department in the delivery of lending classes to branch employees involved in the loan process.
- Support the processing of loan revision requests, special loan programs, emergency requests, employee loan discount requests, etc.
- Prepare reports to analyze Credit Union cross-sell and up-sell goals as well as loan growth and yield.
- Analyze concerns, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data, and prepares reports and/or recommendations for action to Senior Management as requested.
- Assist with reviewing a designated number of loan decisions per loan underwriter on a regular basis.
- Prepare loan rate surveys as requested to support ALCO pricing recommendations.
- Assist employees/officials with loan requests.
- Complete new procedures and update existing procedures as needed.
- Order and review real estate appraisals.
- Ability to discuss the Credit Union's loan programs and convey accurate information on programs offered.
- Previous Real Estate experience is preferred, including familiarity with standard secondary market and credit union consumer equity underwriting guidelines and documentation standards.
- Certification as a Loan Counselor/Underwriter, or equivalent certification and training is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as lending and investment reports and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to inquiries from senior management and effectively produce written reports as well as present the data to groups, both internally and externally.

- Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in economics/statistics or related field, and/or 3-5 years' experience in a similar capacity in the financial industry, or equivalent combination of related education and experience. Must have strong technical skills.
- Attend regulatory educational webinars and implement changes, as needed.
- Liason with Consumer Lending, Real Estate Departments and branches.
- Support both Consumer Lending and Real Estate departments during lending campaigns, as needed.
- Complete and maintain NMLS registry.
- Ability to develop models and forecasts derived from industry and vendor data (i.e. taking unemployment data and trends and projecting impact to lending portfolio).
- Understands the economic marketplace - types of products/loans, buying/selling procedures; marketplace impacts on interest rates, market values and redemption options, and the importance of the investment management to the Credit Union.
