A 40 + year-old residential management company in Hudson County, NJ is seeking a Property Manager/Licensed Real Estate Broker for a portfolio of high-rise affordable housing rental and condominium properties. The company is interested in expanding the portfolio in which the successful candidate will participate. Responsibilities Include: Supervision of a staff of 20 including – office manager, accounting, tenant services, superintendents, maintenance, porters, painters, grounds Monitor rent collections and process delinquencies Maintain records from operations and coordinate best practices with office and accounting staff Interact with tenants, investigate and resolve tenant complaints, and oversee work order requests Oversee apartment turnovers, minimizing downtime Leasing vacancies Obtain bids for various improvements and maintenance projects Routine inspection of properties and documenting conditions and needs Oversight of all property operations including physical, mechanical, financial and tenant interactions. Knowledge and Skills Required: Previous experience in property management Familiar with local, state and federal laws and regulations, especially Fair Housing Guidelines Strong interpersonal & business communication skills Maintain positive professional work relationships High level of organization and attention to detail Ability to efficiently multi-task, practice time management Competence with office management software, MS Office Knowledge of AppFolio (or similar program) Knowledge of financial reporting Knowledge of Section 8 and housing subsidy programs helpful.
