We are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Medical Affairs Manager - Neuromuscular and Neuroinflammatory Diseases. Under the guidance of the Medical Strategy Lead, the Medical Affairs Manager will serve as the primary medical reviewer and approver for US RDO materials developed for external purposes. This includes HCP facing materials for the field medical team, congress materials, and all materials reviewed and approved through promotional review committee. This is a newly created position within UCB and offers the opportunity to immediately create a footprint for the organization. You like to work in anenvironmentwhere you can: Play a crucial role in the development of a growing rare disease organization Further develop and refine your scientific expertise and skillset through regular interaction with cross-functional, internal stakeholders Manage and execute medical review of a wide variety of materials for educational and strategic purposes Engage regularly with people who have the common goal of seeking to improve the lives of patients with rare and ultra-rare diseases Provide training and expertise to colleagues who seek to understand internal processes Set long-term professional development goals within a company model and culture that fosters opportunities for career growth You will contribute by: Utilizing a very strong scientific background to ensure timely, accurate, and appropriate review of scientific communication, engagement, and promotional materials Ensuring high quality outputs as well as compliance with appropriate internal and external policies/procedures Supporting material development needs of the US RDO Interested? For this position, you'll need the following education, experience and skills: Minimum Qualifications: PharmD, PhD or MD =1-year of relevant pharmaceutical industry, clinical, and/or academic experience Expertise in interpretation of scientific data with precision and accuracy Expert grasp of clinical trial design, methodologies, and interpretation of clinical trial data Familiarity and ability with various statistical methods used in clinical research Strong understanding of the proper rules and guidelines for citing references in medical literature and promotional material Ability to effectively write and articulate complex scientific concepts in a clear and concise manner Ability to coach and debate in a professional and collaborative manner Ability to triage and handle multiple concurrent priorities Self-starter attitude Ability and willingness to travel occasionally Preferred Qualifications: Background in neuroscience, and/or in neurological or neuromuscular diseases preferred Excellent communication and written skills Strong desire and ability to be proactive, identify areas of opportunity, and consistently execute Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams to achieve goals Are you ready to 'go beyond' to create value and make your mark for patients?
