Location Description
The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the "Jewel of the Desert" since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration and has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/caf, and in-room dining).

Overview
As a Rooms Controller, you would be responsible for day-to-day management of available rooms inventory. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Responsible for blocking all group and FIT guest reservations in the room PMS system.
- Manage available rooms inventory in the rooms PMS system, including special requests, long stay guests, VIP's.
- Manage all late departure requests.
- Coordinate "rooms not ready" with the Front Office during periods of heavy occupancy. Work with Housekeeping Department to ensure most efficient cycle time in turning rooms over to Front Office.
- Block all one-night "holes" in available inventory. Utilize matrix to identify potential inventory issues.
- Support Front Desk staff by participating in training efforts, assisting at the Front Desk during peak arrival periods and break times, and answering telephones.
- Coordinate amenity delivery arrangements with Guest Rom Dining and ensure that rooms are "do not move" in PMS system.
- Pre-register and pre-key group rooms requiring satellite check-in, or at the group's request, such as bands or sports teams.
- Coordinate the inventory management of villa units, and work with Villa Manager to ensure that villa owners are properly blocked in the PMS system.
- Support the Manager On Duty by assisting with follow-up on credit issues.
- Perform the functions of a Front Desk Agent during peak arrival or departure periods.
- Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
Qualifications
- Experience with OnQ
- Prior Front Office experience in a luxury hotel, preferred
- Experience with Kipsu, Teams, and HotSos Systems is a plus
- Polished service attributes
- Excellent customer service skills
- Talented at successfully multi-tasking
