The Employee & Labor Relations Specialist is responsible for engaging with all employees in Employee and Labor Relations matters, managing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation and Ergonomic programs, and develops and updates the Employment Guidelines and State Supplemental Guidelines.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Collaborates with employees and managers in Employee and Labor Relations matters.

Leads workplace investigations for the assigned departments

Counsels Facilities Management on labor relations matters in alignment with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Coordinates and facilitates monthly Facilities Management/HR Meeting.

Manages the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation process which includes intake, interactive dialogue, and determination on the reasonableness of the request.

Manages the Ergonomic program from intake to evaluation. Recommends specific outcome based on the evaluation to Manager, Employee & Labor Relations.

Develops and updates the Employment Guidelines and State-specific Supplemental Guidelines.

Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor's Degree

Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of Employee and/or Labor Relations experience in a similar role

Ability to execute tasks with strong attention to detail

Ability to engage positively with multiple groups and various stakeholders

Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information

Must have strong oral and written communication skills

Must have excellent analytical skills.

Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times

Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.

Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.

Thorough knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, etc.) is necessary
