Location: Elmsford, NY Territory Coverage: Manhattan, Bronx and parts of Westchester County Job Summary The RT Supervisor ensures the provision of safe, effective respiratory service and products to patients at home including therapeutics, diagnostics, oxygen, and respiratory equipment. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour basis in coordination with the department Manager. It also extends to a 24-hour / 7-day basis in accordance with the nature of care which PromptCare provides. The successful candidate must be proficient in all phases of respiratory care and must have the skills to lead a growing team of Respiratory Therapist clinicians. Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School and must have current RCP state licensure in the state inquiring of employment and in good standing Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states as determined by the Regional Director of Respiratory Operations, at the company’s expense Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing At least 2 years’ experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required. Experience in the home setting is highly desirable Must have the desire and skill to manage a team of Respiratory Therapists Previous experience managing RTs in the field is required CRTT or RRT certification is required Current CPR certification is required Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to: Supervision and Collaboration: Train and educate new staff members, documenting their orientation Collaborate with Warehouse Technicians on inventory, equipment needs, and preventative maintenance Work closely with the Regional Director on branch operations Assessments and Admission Process: Review admission criteria and assess patient home care candidacy Address safety and environmental concerns during patient admission Oversee ongoing patient assessments, including status, equipment, maintenance, and psychosocial aspects Plan of Service/Care: Ensure proper initiation, implementation, and evaluation of patient Plans of Service Triage patient issues and new discharges Lead in implementing clinical and organizational process changes Continuity of Care: Assist with scheduling patient set-ups and follow-up visits. Participate in on-call rotations Confidentiality and HIPAA Regulations: Keep patient, employee, and financial information confidential in accordance with company procedures and HIPAA regulations HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) ensures the privacy and security of health information Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all day. The ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes is also required. Coordinate fine and gross motor movements and hand/eye movement.
