Full-time, Salary Exempt OVERVIEW This position is responsible for the management of event logistics and activation. This role must act as the WPS leader at events and work directly with event partners to ensure flawless operations. The Events Manager must possess exceptional leadership skills and be highly detail-oriented, as well as be able to manage multiple tasks while on site at an event. Organizational agility is required, as this role collaborates with all levels throughout the internal organization and other, key, strategic partners. PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITES Manage and determine activation design, layout, structure, and day-to-day details of event logistics for all events such as Supercross, Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National, Hay Days, Sturgis, Daytona Bike Week, etc. This includes leading all WPS-associated individuals at the event. Liaison between internal stakeholders and external entertainment, logistics companies. Lead point of contact for all event milestones. Facilitate and lead all methods for setup, tear-down, and maintenance of event displays and WPS assets. Determine and maintain event inventory on all transport vehicles, updating promo and display products as needed. Collaborate with third party data collection services to support ROI initiatives. Organize on-site resources necessary to ensure event success. Lead strategy for event optimization and activation increase. Manage and adhere to the Marketing Events budget. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Other roles and responsibilities as required. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing is HIGHLY PREFERRED. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of. 2+ years in the powersports industry is REQUIRED. Previous experience managing on-site, complex events is HIGHLY PREFERRED. In-depth knowledge of Marketing activation programs and event formats is HIGHLY PREFERRED. Demonstrated attributes of forward thinking, planning, teamwork, motivation, trustworthiness, and dependability is REQUIRED. Excellent budgetary experience is REQUIRED. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally is REQUIRED. Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with acute attention to detail is REQUIRED. Excellent problem solving and interpersonal, clear verbal, and written communication skills is REQUIRED. Highly developed project and time management skills is REQUIRED. Demonstrated understanding of project scope, along with strong agenda setting, scheduling and resource management skills is REQUIRED.
