**Responsibilities**

**Job Summary / Purpose**

Maintains and oversees the staff and work flow in the diagnostic imaging department. Oversees and identifies issues related to compliance. Ensures department is staffed accordingly. Supervises employees in department to ensure patients are receiving quality and safe care, as well as, a positive patient experience. May perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist and/or physician.

**Essential Key Job Responsibilities**

1. Supervises and oversees Medical Imaging staff to ensure quality patient care is provided.

2. Serves as a liaison for the work produced in the Imaging department.

3. Directly responsible for the daily operational activities promoting organized functioning of the Imaging staff.

4. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

5. Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologists expectations and protocols.

6. Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.

7. Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.

8. Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.

9. Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.

10. Uses standard precautions, PPE, at all times.

11. Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.

12. Attends all CHI Saint Joseph Health required educational programs as well as all Learn modules.

13. Contributes to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes our resources efficiently.

14. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.

15. Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards.

16. Other duties as assigned by management.

**Qualifications**

**Required Education** _(for CHI Leadership Job Levels from Supervisor through President)_

Sys/Div/Mkt/Local Supervisor Bachelors Degree and minimum of 1 year experience in the discipline OR 3 years experience in the discipline OR Masters Degree and no experience

**Required Education for Staff Job Levels**

+ Bachelors Degree in related field, to include graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology, and minimum of 1 year experience in a radiology discipline. OR

+ 3 years experience in radiology discipline. OR

+ Masters Degree, to include graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology, and some experience in radiology discipline.

**Required Licensure and Certifications**

+ ARRT Licensure and State Licensure or ARDMS Licensure or RVT Licensure

+ BLS

**Pay Range**

$38.63 - $57.56 /hour
