The Manager of Finance plays a vital role in the financial management and stewardship of YMCA of Metro Atlanta. This position oversees all financial activities, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. The Manager of Finance ensures the organization's financial health and sustainability, aligning financial practices with the mission and values of the YMCA. RESPONSIBILITY (including, but not limited to): Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with Senior Leadership, Branch Executives and Program Directors. Monitor budget performance and provide regular financial reports to the Senior Leadership team and Branch Executives. Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast future financial performance, and make strategic recommendations. ROI analysis on special projects Accounting and Financial Reporting: Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and YMCA standards. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review by the Senior Leadership team and Branch Executives. Gather and synthesize data to support decision making at all levels of the organization Assist with forecasting the Y’s compliance with requirements of various stakeholders i.e. bank, debt covenants, endowments, etc. Provide finance support to the Y and all its subsidiaries including ECDC, QALICBs, etc. Support the annual financial statement and single audit processes Grant Management and Fund Accounting: Oversee grant compliance and reporting, ensuring accurate tracking of grant funds and expenditures. Collaborate with program directors to develop grant budgets and monitor grant spending. Maintain appropriate documentation for grant applications and reporting. Financial Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop finance staff members, supporting their professional growth and skill development. Collaborate with other departments to integrate financial considerations into program planning and decision-making.
