The Assistant Territory Manager will aid in the promotion and sale of pipe and fittings within their distribution network by supporting geographical areas that need extra attention and trade shows and industry events. A Pittsburgh based candidate, within commuting distance of our Charleroi, PA facility, is preferred but open to candidates who meet the qualifications based in the eastern and central time zones that are within 90 minutes of a major airport. RESPONSIBILITIES Work alongside the Territory Managers to service existing customers with excellent customer service and develop new customers accounts. Address customer questions, complaints and concerns with diplomacy and solutions. Assist in the development of marketing plans and execute the strategic and tactical actions necessary to implement the plans. Effectively communicate the GSI value proposition to distributor partners, contractors, etc. to differentiate GSI from the competition. Identify and build relationships with mechanical engineers and building code officials within the territory to have our products specified on projects. Train contractors and distributors on the appropriate installation of the GS+ product line and review onsite installations to ensure proper performance. Travel to customers and industry events 50-75% of schedule. EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED A bachelor's degree required, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or Sales preferred majors, but other related fields will be considered. 1 - 3 years' experience in B2B Outside Sales preferred but willing to train and mentor. Must possess an outgoing personality with a positive outlook and professional appearance. The ability to educate others through strong presentation skills and effective oral and written communications. The role is highly independent in nature, the right candidate is one that is able to manage their own schedules, manage multiple tasks at the same time and be able to pivot quickly based on customer needs while keeping other tasks moving forward. Daily use of Microsoft Office programs - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Outlook. A high level of proficiency is needed in all these programs to succeed in the role.
