About the Role Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Events, the Director of Event Services is responsible for the planning, support, and execution of both digital and physical events. This role will assist with all aspects of the event lifecycle, focusing on leading the team responsible for delivering first-touch experiences for global events worldwide, including pre-event and onsite execution of content operations and speaker services, registration and attendee management, and demo operations and services. The individual hired for this role will bring a history of successful people management, as well as end-to-end event delivery and an understanding of the systems and processes vital to building a world-class event experience in both digital and physical spaces. About You You are an inclusive, collaborative business leader with outstanding people management skills who excels in the methodical, data-driven architecture of both digital and physical events. Passionate about building meaningful, customer-facing experiences, you are always thinking about things from the audience’s perspective. Ideally, you bring an understanding of front-of-house event engagement and program leadership for a major cloud infrastructure and/or applications provider, driving customer and partner engagement across a number of enterprise technology services. You have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and a high degree of emotional intelligence. You operate best in a collaborative environment as part of a large, remote team, driving success through relationship-building, empathy, and creative problem-solving. You have excellent organizational and analytical skills, operating effectively with a variety of deadlines and personalities. Responsibilities Lead a team of outstanding content operations, registration, and other front-of-house event professionals. Guide the team in scaling services across the global event portfolio, providing support to corporate flagship programming, regional, industry, and 3rd party programming. Drive the event content and demo operations team in developing the learning infrastructure onsite and off. Lead the event registration team in developing best-in-class registration experiences. Collaborate with colleagues and leadership in all aspects of planning and executing global events. Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with your team and support them in doing the same with stakeholders. Prepare and present a concise, data-driven vision for Event Services. Skills & Qualifications 10-12+ years of experience in building cohesive event experiences in a complex, cross-functional B2B environment. 5-7+ years of managing cross-functional event teams. Passion for taking calculated risks while driving consensus across teams. Direct management experience with attendee-facing registration and event content management systems. Proficient in a variety of professional applications (Zoom, Excel, Word, Outlook). This position can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada and will require some domestic and international travel (roughly 25% of each year).
