Summary We are seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's operations comply with applicable international laws and regulations. This is a crucial role that requires a strong understanding of global compliance standards and the ability to navigate complex legal frameworks. Job Description
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain compliance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to international regulations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, such as legal and finance departments, to assess compliance risks and develop training and effective mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on compliance activities across the organization, as well as providing guidance on compliance issues to the broader team.
To excel in this role, you must have a keen attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. A comprehensive knowledge of international compliance laws and regulations, particularly in your assigned region(s), is essential. You will also need to stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures for international operations.
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
Monitor and analyze changes in international regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and provide proactive guidance to the organization.
Collaborate with legal and finance departments to assess compliance risks and develop appropriate corrective actions.
Provide training and support to employees on compliance-related topics and best practices.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of compliance management systems and tools.
Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to management.
Proactively notify management of legal or regulatory changes that may impact the business.
Some travel to other office locations may be necessary.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in international compliance
Strong understanding of global compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with complex legal frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
Professional certifications in compliance management (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional) preferred.
Strong knowledge of international anti-bribery laws and compliance regulations and cultural nuances.
