Overview:

Identifies and develops residential loan opportunities in assigned territory in conformance with the Banks policies and procedures. Responsible for providing lending services to members of low to moderate income communities. Provide awareness and education to community members regarding new home ownership financing.

This will be a hybrid position with a requirement of no less than three (3) days on site in office.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.

  • Originates residential loan products within Providence territory to meet sales and service goals. Provides quality customer service throughout the mortgage origination process.
  • Provides outreach and awareness to community members regarding affordable home loan programs.
  • Conducts interviews with prospective borrowers. Analyzes credit and financial information and completes mortgage loan application.
  • Provide monthly updates to manager regarding outreach efforts in the community.
  • Provide excellent customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide financial alternatives to borrowers.
  • Responsible for developing borrowers and COI relationships in the community.
  • Provide timely communication to the borrower throughout the loan process regarding the status of their loan request.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local referral networks including real estate brokers, attorneys, builders, and other related professionals within the geographic territory in order to promote the banks products and services and to increase sales opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Participates in local community and business organizations to promote the Bank and conducts periodic educational seminars for potential borrowers and realtors
  • Comply with all Federal and State compliance policies and HMDA requirements.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of all Regulatory and Compliance guidelines that govern residential lending. Attend relevant courses and seminars.

OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Successful candidate must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the required background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier from the NMLS.
  • Performs related and unrelated duties as may be needed.


Qualifications:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Three years progressively responsible mortgage origination/sales experience

  • Spanish speaking required
  • Bachelors Degree or its equivalent in specialized course work and training.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage lending functions involving financial statement analysis, credit risk, installment lending, and general business finance.
  • Working knowledge of all Banks products and services.
  • Proficient with computers and Outlook and able to become proficient in the use of various other software applications that may be used in the performance of responsibilities.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communications, negotiation and organization skills.
  • Proven sales ability.
  • Must have valid drivers license.
  • Must have knowledge of all community lending services, including the Federal Housing Administrative products.

None

INDEPENDENT ACTION:

Establishes own work plan and performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Generally refers specific problems to manager where clarification of policies and procedures is needed.
