Position Summary: The primary purpose of the Human Resources Assistant is to support the Human Resources Department by performing and supporting the daily administrative tasks of the department.

Main Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Maintain the Employee File Database.
  • Maintain job postings across all platforms.
  • Support the recruiting process by conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews and communicating with potential candidates.
  • Maintain the Payroll Validation Checklist.
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees.
  • Assist with Annual Performance Reviews.
  • Maintain the Security Awareness Training Database.
  • Audit the monthly benefit invoices.
  • Assist with various annual audits.
  • Maintain the Human Resources page within SharePoint.
  • Assist with Bi-Weekly Payroll Processing.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to accurately follow process and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience completing payroll.
  • Knowledge of employment law and best practices.
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources or Assistant role preferred.
