Position: CNC Operator with WaterJet/ LaserJet Experience

Location: Avon Lake, Ohio (on-site)

Hours: M-F 6:00 am -2:30 pm

We are looking for a CNC operator with 1-3 years of experience working a WaterJet/ LaserJet CNC machine. The ideal candidate should be able to set up and operate, monitor the operation to ensure quality and adherance to design tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate WaterJet and Laser Jet cutting machines to cut, shape, and modify materials according to production specifications and schedules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and operational requirements.
  • Perform machine setup, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment for optimal performance.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and consistency of cuts, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure proper functionality and minimize downtime.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and production targets are met.
  • Document production activities, including material usage, machine settings, and inspection results.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 of experience with WaterJet or LaserJet machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic computer skills for machine operation and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
