JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing overall support to the Finance & Accounting department. Responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger, reviewing and analyzing budgets and ensuring integrity of the financial data. They will also assist in preparing financial reports and working on special projects as needed. ESSENTIAL

DUTIES

AND

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in month-end close duties and reporting Prepare and analyze various financial reports for management Prepare and review semi-monthly payroll Calculate monthly sales commissions Maintain prepaid schedules Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts. Prepare state, local, and special tax returns Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned. Meeting processing and reporting deadlines Assist the Accounting Manager as needed KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS

AND ABILITIES: Strong technical knowledge of general ledger in accordance with GAAP Must have experience using a large ERP system Must be highly proficient in Excel Have an analytical mindset Self-starter with a growth mindset Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work with little supervision Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments EDUCATION

AND

EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required 5+ years of corporate accounting experience, manufacturing environment preferred PHYSICAL

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office and travel to and from office buildings to access file cabinets, employee offices, office machinery, etc. This may include, but is not limited to, bending and walking. Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer printer, computer keyboard, calculator, etc. Ability to listen and speak with employees and vendors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and transport to other offices. This may be performed with reasonable accommodation. View and type on computer screens for long periods of time.
