Your day as a Janitor

As a Part-time Janitor at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will play a vital role in providing essential janitorial services across our various agency locations in Hampton, VA. Your responsibilities will include routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to uphold the cleanliness standards of our facilities. You will be in charge of waste management, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed for a safe and environmentally friendly workspace. Maintaining restroom hygiene, disinfecting surfaces, managing cleaning supplies, and adhering to safety protocols are all key aspects of this role. Are you the Janitor we're looking for?

To excel as a Janitor at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, candidates should possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in building or residential janitorial maintenance. Familiarity with janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management is essential for this role. The ability to follow safety guidelines for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment is crucial to ensure a secure work environment.
