Job Description

The Accounting Manager Consultant is responsible for supervising the accounting team, implementing processes, managing month/year-end close process, and ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately.

Responsibilities:
•Supervise the accounting team and provide training and mentoring.
•Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and the use of resources.
•Ensure all deadlines are met.
•Prepare and Review Journal Entries.
•Prepare and Review Account Reconciliations.
•Maintain the general ledger system.
•Prepare monthly financial statements.
•Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
•Assist in annual audit process and respond to audit questions as needed.
•Provide recommendations to Controller as needed.
•Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
•Utilize best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies in delivery of client services.
•Meet financial accounting objectives.

Requirements

Required skills and experience:
•8+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles
•3+ Industry experience in manufacturing, biotech, medical devices and fintech highly desired.
•BS Degree in accounting, finance or work experience equivalent
•5+ years prior supervisory experience in a large private or public company.
•Proficiency in accounting software for example NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, JDE, Great Plains, etc
•MS Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, and Macros

Pay is DOE: $65- $80/hr
