is seeking a dedicated Donor Experience Specialist to join our organization
This is an onsite position working in the corporate headquarters located in Grand Rapids, MI, USA. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. CURE is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for the development and implementation of major events and experiences for key donors. Plans events with a high level of hospitality and attention to detail. Imagines, creates and executes world-class environments and experiences for donors that increase engagement with the organization. Provide excellent customer service to event attendees, donors, and sponsors, ensuring a positive experience that fosters long-term relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Oversee all donor-facing functions required to design and execute 5-7 regional events per year and one major national event ranging from 20-200 attendees.
Manage all event logistics and vendors for venues, A/V, caterers, and support staff.
Financially manage the event budget, track expenses, and process expenses.
Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors and service providers.
Partner with teammates to produce promotions, donor communications, and collateral such as invitations, email reminders, and signage for each event.
Run event planning meetings and coordinate with internal key stakeholders throughout the planning process.
Produce post-event reporting, evaluations, and learnings.
Serve as primary on-site day-of event manager.
Compile a list of prospective event locations; visit locations and provide guidance to management on the final selection.
Assist with travel and planning support for donors traveling overseas for on-site visits.
Organize support for bi-annual impact reports and shared content folders.
Partner with the MarComm department for any needed campaign collateral or content for donor-facing presentations, including conferences and church events.
Facilitate presentation support and reporting for team meetings and summits.
Maintain event registration processes and keep updated donor records in the database.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree required. Bachelor's preferred.
3 years’ experience coordinating in-person event planning.
At least one year of experience working in a non-profit or fundraising environment, preferred.
Experience working with CRM systems and online event platforms.
Non-profit experience, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Well-developed customer-service orientation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organized, meticulous, process-oriented, strategic thinker, ability to juggle multiple projects/deadlines at once.
